Examination and Promotion

To make students study regularly to prepare comfortably and to reduce the examination phobia, we have introduced the FA (Formative Assessment) and SA (Summative Assessment) from Class 1 to IX.
There will be four FA's Two FA's Written + Two FA's Activity based).  Two SA examinations held during the year.
Each SA has 5 marks assigned for maintaining Notebooks,  Therefore, due attention should be paid to project work and examinations.
A minimum of 33% us required to pass in each subject for Classes I to IX.
  1. There are two terminal and one final examination conducted during the academic year and the 
    Report will be issued within a fortnight.
  2. A minimum of 40% marks is required to pass in each subject.  Promotions are based on the total performance of the student during the entire session.  Therefore 20% of the terminal examination will be taken into account to decide the promotion if the pupil.
  3. It is compulsory to pass in computer science, Moral Science & G.K. for promotion.
  4. Parents or guardians are requested to examine the report card before signing it.  They should make enquiries if no report is shown to them by their children.
  5. Absence/leave in an examination will be treated as having received no marks in it.  In case of leave from oral or written exam, the students are not eligible to get grade, rank etc, in the respective exam.
  6. Special arrangements for examination cannot be made for pupils who, for any reason, are absent from any of the tests of examination.
  7. No re-examinations will be held.  Pupil absent from an examination without any grave reasons will be considered as having failed in it.  In case of illness, promotion will be based on the year's performance.
  8. Promotion to a higher standard is granted on the marks of examination and the basis of the year's record of work. The year's record of work consists in the following:
    - The day to day written work including compositions, homework and daily lesson.
    -The individual traits of character, such as good contact, regularity, punctuality, a sense of responsibility, co-operation, sociality etc.
  9. The progress of the pupil is assessed by means of Unit Tests and Terminal Examination at the end of which progress reports are issued.  Progress Reports of Terminal Examination will not be issued to the parents.  It has to be signed in the school itself parents are allowed to see their ward's answer papers.
  10. Result of the examinations is final and will not be reconsidered.  The answer papers of the annual examination will not be shown to anybody.
  11.  No student is to bring any Text Book, Note Books or other Papers into the Examination hall.
  12. Students found copying or using other unfair means during exam are liable to receive zero and to lose promotion.
  13. All fee up to the exam must be paid at least one week before the commencement of the examination.
  14. No pass TC will be issued against failed cases.
